Sharjah 24: K9 Security Inspection Department at Sharjah Police’s Ports and Airports Security Police Department, inaugurated a smart device to detect police dogs’ activities and its effect on their performance.
The device helps in reporting health data about dogs and their organs’ performance to iPads and smart phones of the veterinary unit and trainers to facilitate the process of transferring readings instead of bringing dogs to the vet for traditional testing procedures.
Brigadier Younis Al Hajri, director of the department of ports and airports at the Sharjah Police, hailed the efforts of the K9 in following up the latest smart technology associated with police dogs internationally through introducing new smart device to learn about dogs’ activities and performance. He also commended police innovation initiatives in police work to keep pace with the latest development in this field to be able to confront future challenges.
