Sharjah 24: A thrilling double act by Emirati superstar Hussain Al Jassmi and Egyptian singer Angham will be the centrepiece of the inaugural concert, on Thursday, at the newly opened Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, a vast, Roman-inspired open-air venue, and one of the most prestigious development projects in Sharjah’s eastern region enclave.
The concert will be telecast on Al Sharqiya channel from Kalba, a subsidiary of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, and viewers can follow @khorfakkanamphitheater on social media platforms to watch exclusive excerpts.
Audience seating will be limited to 50 per cent of the theatre capacity, as the live concert on December 31, 2020 will be held in line with the UAE’s stringent precautionary measures against COVID-19. Other mandatory measures being followed include sterilisation of the premises, installation of sterilisation gates, and provision of face masks, among others.
Singing sensation Hussain Al Jassmi will enchant his legion of fans with number of popular hits including Al Shaki, Bahebek Wahshtini, and Bel Bont Al Areed, while Egyptian star Angham will perform a medley of hits from her three-decade career, belting out iconic songs such as Al Rukn Al Ba’ed Al Hadi’, Shantet Safar, and Atmanalo Al Khair, among others, in her debut concert in Khor Fakkan.
