Sharjah 24: Sharjah Archaeology Authority (SAA) organised a virtual lecture on Islamic 'Maqamat' in Jordan.
Dr. Jumana Dweikat, researcher in the field of tourism and archaeology, presented the lecture, providing an overview of the Islamic 'Maqamat' and the religious and historical position of the 'Maqamat'. In addition to outlining the spread of 'Maqamat' all over Jordan.
The lecture comes within the series of specialised weekly scientific lectures organised by SAA, with the aim of spreading awareness of the restoration and maintenance of antiquities.
The number of attendees exceeded 120 participants interested in preserving antiquities from inside and outside the country.
Dr. Jumana Dweikat talked also about the 'Maqamat' from the historical and archaeological point of view, highlighting the importance of the topic.
