He emphasised that this not only improves the quality of life in the area but also reflects commitment to sustainability and environmental preservation.
In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah24”, Al Qaseer emphasised the Mleiha project as a prime example of the Authority's dedication to preserving the environment, particularly in the field of archaeological and environmental tourism. The project is a live example of how to achieve a balance between environmental preservation and development, containing historical artefacts that date back 120,000 years.
Ahmed Al Qaseer explained that the agency promotes eco-tourism through projects like the Kingfisher Lodge in Kalba, the Faya, and Al Badayer Retreat. He underscored their significance in providing a unique opportunity for guests to enjoy nature and gain knowledge about the emirate's natural and cultural heritage.
He continued by saying Shurooq's backing of the Heart of Sharjah region, an important hub of the emirate's culture and history, underlines the organization's dedication to protecting Sharjah's rich heritage while taking the environment into account in all of its activities.
