Al Zaabi: 30 participants in the photography comp. in Kalba

Sharjah24: Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chief of Sharjah Ruler's Office in Khorfakkan, and Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba City witnessed, on Sunday at the University of Sharjah, Kalba Branch, a ceremony honoring the participants in the “My City in My Lens” competition.

The Kalba City Parents' Council on Sunday, the closed the curtain on the activities of the first edition of the "My City with My Lens" competition, which was organised in cooperation with the University of Sharjah, Kalba Branch.

The closing ceremony, which was held at the university theater, included an exhibition of the participating paintings, and an event to honour the winners, individuals and sponsors.

The ceremony was attended Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chief of Sharjah Ruler's Office in Khorfakkan, Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba City, and a crowd of officials and representatives of government departments.

In his exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, Dr. Ali Obaid Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Parents Council, said that 30 participants showcased their creativity in photography during the competition, aiming to shed light on the cultural, historical and nature of the city of Kalba.

He explained that the competition represented an opportunity to highlight the national energies of young people and professionals of photography, pointing out that the coming years will witness an expansion of the competition to witness other aspects.
