Sharjah 24: His Excellency Eisa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), praised the excellence and efforts of Hamid Al Rousi, the Emirati international referee in volleyball, and the popular reputation that he gained at all levels to become one of the well-known names and distinguished referees in the world in volleyball.
The Chairman of SSC received Hamid Al Rousi, the Emirati international referee in volleyball, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Melih, Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Studies and Research Committee, and His Excellency Abdullah Ali bin Sultan, Member of the Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Professionalism Committee, before his departure to Italy to participate in the arbitration of the Men's and Women's Volleyball League in Rimini with the participation of 32 teams, including 16 men's and 16 women's teams.
The league is one of the largest international volleyball sports events, and it is held from May 24 to June 25, 2021, with Al Rousi leaving after the league has finished to participate in arbitration in the Tokyo Olympics 2021 in Japan, which starts on July 23.
His Excellency Al Hazami affirmed that the honourable march of Al Rousi, which started from the Khorfakkan Club, is the result of perseverance, diligence, determination and struggle to reach this great global position as one of the best referees at the level of the game in the Arab, Asian and international levels. In addition, Al Rousi has become a pride for Emirati sports in general and the Emirate of Sharjah in particular.
For his part, Hamid Al Rousi thanked and appreciated His Excellency Chairman of SSC for this meeting, which is based on SSC efforts in encouraging athletes from the Emirate of Sharjah, indicating his pride in representing the country for years in various sporting event and the constant desire to excel in order to honour Emirati arbitration.
