Sharjah24: The College of Communication at Al Qasimia University hosted Dr. Farida Al Hosani, the spokesperson for the health sector in UAE, to speak in a virtual open dialogue session with students, about the importance of the spokesperson in times of crisis.
The session was moderated by Prof. Atta Hassan Abdel-Rahim, Dean of the College of Communication, in the presence of Prof. Awad Al Khalaf, Acting Director of Al Qasimia University, and a group of faculty members and students of the College of Communication.
At the start of the remote session Thursday evening, Prof. Dr. Awad Al-Khalaf welcomed Dr. Farida Al Hosani, praising her experience as an official spokesperson for the health sector in light of the global pandemic, and thanking her for participating and responding to the university's call, stressing the importance of continuing this constructive cooperation, and called on her to provide more guidance, counseling and professional lectures that enhance the skills and experiences of our students.
The session, dealt with the concept of the spokesperson, its objectives, the importance of his presence in the organization, the most important skills and characteristics that the spokesperson should possess, and the strategy of effective and effective speech. The session also dealt with the obstacles that the spokesperson may face and ways to overcome them.
At the beginning of her speech, Dr. Farida Al Hosani stressed the importance of the role that the spokesperson plays for the benefit of the institution in which he works, in communicating with the masses, expressing accurately about them, and about all their plans, goals and positions on developments.
