Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, continued to raise the awareness of vehicle drivers through its electronic campaign that it launched on 7 March.
The campaign aims to spread traffic awareness among drivers of vehicles in hopes of reducing not paying attention to the road, as well as limiting the occurrence of traffic accidents and their negative effects.

Captain Fahd Al Balushi, Director of the External Roads Patrol Branch at Sharjah Police, emphasised that the campaign since its launch on social media sites and official radio stations in UAE, was accompanied with the civil patrol monitoring the drivers lack of attention to the road. In addition to communicating with drivers of such violations, making them aware of the seriousness of the violations they committed, maintaining that the campaign has reached more than 25,000 individuals so far.

The Director of the External Road Patrol Branch at Sharjah Police stated that the launch of this campaign came in accordance with previous traffic statistics, which indicated that the lack of focus on the road by vehicle drivers is among the reasons that have led to a number of accidents in the past years. Along with Sharjah Police General Command keenness to maintain the safety of drivers and road users from traffic accidents and in line with its objectives of the Ministry of Interior's strategy to make roads safer.
