Sharjah24: In line with the vision and directives of the Emirate of Sharjah to transform the traditional services into digital forms, Sharjah Municipality (SM) has announced the launch of a service that allows subscribers to issue and renew their annual subscriptions for public parking digitally via its website.
This comes as part of the municipality’s efforts to continue digitalising its services in order to facilitate the services it delivers to its clients.
Commenting on this, Thabet Salem Al Tarifi, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, emphasised the Municipality’s keenness to provide the best services to the public, and save time and effort by carrying out the “Sabek” project through which the municipality contributes to fully converting all its services into digital.
For his part, Khalid bin Falah Al Suwaidi, Assistant General Manager of the Customer Service Sector, explained that the municipality has provided many options for the clients to benefit from public parking services, either through fee payment machines available in all regions, text messages, parking in investment yards, seasonal subscriptions, semi-annual subscriptions, or 3 months subscriptions.
Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazin, Director of the Public Parking Department, confirmed that the municipality provided easy steps to subscribe or renew via the municipality’s website, emphasising that the municipality issued during the previous year 4,477 new subscriptions and renewed 13,183 subscriptions.
