Sharjah 24: Sheikh Sherzad Abdurrahman Taher, Secretary-General of the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah, affirmed that the Academy is considered the largest and most comprehensive in the world, and a Quranic scientific beacon that seeks to serve the Noble Quran and its sciences by taking care of the Book in all its written, printed, audio and digital forms.
The Academy also aims to introduce all that is related to Quranic sciences and scholars, in addition to developing the skills of those interested and working in the Quranic studies, as well as other issues associated with the holy Quran and its sciences.

The two-story Academy spreads over an area of more than 800,000 square metres.

In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, the Secretary General of the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah indicated that the Academy focuses on two main parts, the first of which is the seven Quranic museums and the eighth mobile museum, and the second is the academic, research and scientific part.

The global reciter currently covers 103 countries, where the two countries of Sweden and Nepal have been added, and the coverage of the reciters has reached the Arctic region and is currently seeking to cover the southern part of the globe. The Academy now houses 327 male and female students who have been meticulously selected, and directed by 21 recitation mentors.

Concluding his statement, Secretary-General of the Holy Quran Academy thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah for building this great edifice, and feeding it with valuable and rare material dating back to centuries.
