Hassan Al Tifaq, Assistant Director General for the Agriculture and Environment Sector at the Sharjah Municipality, confirmed the launch of the first phase of the sewage sludge treatment project, which is considered the first in the Middle East and the second in the world. This modern technology has been attracted from the United States of America with modern international specifications and standards.
In exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", Eng. Hassan Al Tifaq added that this technology treats 125 cubic meters per hour of sludge, with an increase of 500% over the previous systems, and contributes to saving at least 10 million dirhams of chemicals used in the manufacturing processes to condense sludge.
