Sharjah24: Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) Sharjah Police Sciences Academy signed a memorandum of understanding between the two sides aimed at consolidating and strengthening cooperation and serving common goals in the areas of training, research and community studies.
The signing ceremony took place at the council’s headquarters in Sharjah in the presence of His Excellency Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Council, which was signed on the council’s side by His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Council, and on the side of the Academy, His Excellency Dean Dr. Mohammad Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of the Police Sciences Academy.
The MoU aims to consolidate bilateral relations between the two sides, enhance knowledge exchange, support scientific programmes, scientific research, and community service through joint programmes that serve the Emirate of Sharjah.
The memorandum provided for strengthening frameworks for joint cooperation between the SCC and the Academy in the fields of research, studies and training to ensure the success of this relationship and its continuous development in a manner that serves all segments of society.
The coordination between them in various fields, including cooperation in preparing and supervising research and studies, and exchanging publications related to the role of the Council and the Academy, included cooperation in preparing, establishing and organising training courses, scientific seminars, workshops, presenting lectures and holding conferences in areas of common interest.
The signed agreement called for cooperation in preparing and organising seminars and scientific, police, security, and social forums and others, which contribute to educating society and combating negative phenomena that affect family stability to preserve the security of society.
