Sharjah24: In the presence of His Excellency Thabet Al Tarifi, Director General of the Sharjah Municipality (SM), the Municipality launched the new Sharjah Corniche electric bike patrols and four-wheel drive cycling patrols on the corniche and its beach, in order to educate its users and urge them to adhere to preventive measures. The movement aims to enhance its monitoring and awareness role on beaches and green spaces.
In this context, His Excellency Thabet Al Tarifi confirmed that the launch of these patrols comes within the framework of the Municipality's keenness to strengthen control over the new corniche and the beaches of Sharjah and the green spaces, and to spread awareness among members of the public to adhere to preventive measures and maintain the cleanliness of public places.
These patrols also reflect the Municipality’s keenness to take care of the environment and preserve it, providing many options for its inspectors to perform their duties easily.
Al Tarifi explained that the Municipality was keen to prepare all beaches, raise security and safety standards for its visitors, and provide a rescue company specialised in beach management, contributing in developing various services and facilities.
