Sharjah 24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWGA) launched a new bank transfer service enabling subscribers, closing their account, to electronically retrieve their security deposit via bank transfer without having to issue a cheque or visiting SEWGA branch. The service comes within the implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The clearance certificate was electronically updated to be directly sent to the customer via a text message, which is completed by a bank transfer of the insurance remaining amount.
Dr. Engineer Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of SEWGA confirmed that the service comes within the authority’s strategy aiming at continuously developing and updating services in accordance with the reviewers’ needs and aspirations. Services are qualitative steps towards the Authority’s smart transformation to provide the best and fastest services ensuring consumer’s happiness and services quality.
Al Leem explained that the SEWGA is keen to adopt international best practices, and to ensure people’s satisfaction with the services provided. Al Leem concluded that the authority is keen to support all smart initiatives and technology contributing to achieving the happiness of the society.
