Ceremony highlights

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Jamal Salem Al Tarifi, President of AQU, and His Excellency Prof. Dr Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of AQU, alongside university leadership, officials, and representatives from partner entities and institutions.

Held at the university theatre, the ceremony began with the UAE national anthem and a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Subsequently, His Excellency Prof. Dr Awad Al Khalaf delivered a speech expressing the university's appreciation for the role played by partner entities in supporting its mission. He emphasised that the successes achieved in academic, cultural, and community spheres are the fruit of integrated efforts and collaborative roles between the university and community institutions. This reflects the depth of the partnerships established under the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah—founder of Al Qasimia University—which is rooted in building an educational and cultural ecosystem that serves humanity and society while fostering the values of knowledge, learning, dialogue, and coexistence.

Al Khalaf added that these strategic partnerships create broad opportunities for exchanging expertise and experiences, launching impactful initiatives, and enhancing integration between educational institutions and various sectors. This serves development goals, strengthens the university’s local, regional, and international presence, and opens up wider avenues for students to engage with community institutions and benefit from their expertise.
