Sharjah 24: Brigadier General Khalid Mohammed Al-Kay, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police (SP), confirmed the readiness of all traffic preparations in conjunction with the start of the new academic year 2026-2027. He pointed to the implementation of a comprehensive plan aimed at regulating traffic flow and enhancing road safety levels, ensuring the smooth arrival of students to their schools.

Patrols deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow

Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24,” Brigadier General Al-Kay stated that a number of patrols have been deployed across the Emirate of Sharjah, particularly around schools and universities, and on main and vital roads, to facilitate traffic flow.

Parents and drivers urged to follow traffic guidance

The Director of the Sharjah Police Traffic and Patrols Department urged parents and drivers to adhere to the instructions and guidance of traffic officers and patrols, and to choose the correct route for commuting between home and school during the evening hours to avoid traffic congestion. He emphasised that the department is fully prepared to receive any feedback from the public and address it immediately.

Brigadier General Al-Kay concluded his remarks by wishing students a successful and distinguished academic year and praying for everyone's safety on the roads.
