Rubu' Qarn's vibrant summer empowers 6,472 young talents

Sharjah24 : Rubu' Qarn for Creating Leaders and Innovators concluded its vibrant programme ‘Let’s Summer 2026’ , attracting 6,472 children and young people aged 6 to 18. Through 4,431 diverse programmes and specialised workshops, the initiative offered enriching experiences spanning science, technology, arts, sports, leadership, Emirati heritage, media and future skills.

Enriching summer experience engages 6,472 participants

Rub' Qarn for Creating Leaders and Innovators concluded its dynamic ‘Let’s Summer 2026’ activities, held throughout July and August across its institutions: Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah.

The comprehensive summer programme welcomed 6,472 male and female participants aged between 6 and 18, including 2,928 at Sharjah Children, 2,575 at Sharjah Youth and 969 at Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah.

The enriching experience aimed to positively channel participants' energy, expand their knowledge, and develop their skills and capabilities within a safe, inspiring and stimulating environment.

4,431 diverse programmes nurture talent and creativity

‘Let’s Summer 2026’ featured 4,431 high-quality programmes and specialised workshops covering a broad range of educational, practical and creative pathways.

The diverse activities spanned science and technology, literature and languages, life skills and various artistic disciplines, including visual arts, filmmaking, theatre and performing arts. They also included exciting sports and adventure activities, community initiatives and partnerships, as well as engaging cultural and recreational trips combining learning, discovery and entertainment.

These immersive experiences helped broaden participants' knowledge, uncover their talents, strengthen their self-confidence and equip them with valuable skills and experiences to support their future.

Exceptional experiences inspire future generations

Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director-General of Rubu Qarn for Creating Leaders and Innovators, said that “‘Let’s Summer 2026’ provided an exceptional experience for the foundation's participants, offering them valuable opportunities to embark on creative and educational journeys.

She noted that the programme embodied Rubu Qarn's ambitious vision, inspired by the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council, to nurture and empower conscious, influential generations capable of contributing effectively to shaping the future of their communities.

She added: “The diversity and high quality of the programmes reflect Rubu' Qarn's commitment to providing comprehensive pathways that cater to participants' interests and offer them unique opportunities for learning and self-discovery within a safe and stimulating Emirati environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

“This environment fosters a strong spirit of initiative, belonging and responsibility, while helping to build confident individuals capable of harnessing their knowledge and skills to create a positive and sustainable impact.”

Emirati heritage strengthens national identity

The rich and diverse ‘Let’s Summer 2026’ activities included the “Emirati House” programme, which strengthened the connection of Sharjah Children and Sharjah Youth participants with the UAE's rich cultural heritage.

The programme instilled the values of respect, reinforced the principles of authentic Emirati etiquette and deepened participants' pride in their national identity.

Interactive activities strengthen family bonds

As part of efforts to reinforce the vital role of the family, the “Together Programme” brought Sharjah Children participants and their parents together through a range of interactive activities and shared experiences.

The programme aimed to strengthen family bonds, instil positive values and develop children's skills within an engaging, educational and creative environment.

Sports programmes build fitness, discipline and teamwork

In the field of physical development, participants from Sharjah Children and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah took part in specialised sports incubator programmes and professional swimming activities for children and girls.

The programmes focused on enhancing physical fitness, strengthening discipline and the spirit of challenge, and developing essential teamwork skills.

Leadership experiences broaden young horizons

Participants from Sharjah Youth and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah also embarked on an enriching leadership experience through the “Leadership Horizons” programme, designed to develop leadership skills and empower young people to create meaningful impact.

They also participated in a youth cultural exchange programme that offered them the valuable opportunity to interact with a Moroccan youth delegation hosted by the Emirate of Sharjah and discover new cultures, perspectives and experiences.

Future skills fuel creativity and self-reliance

As part of its focus on developing essential future skills, the “Skills Lab” strengthened the capabilities of Sharjah Youth participants through a range of specialised programmes in creativity and innovation.

A select group also embarked on the “Sharjah Youth International Adventure and Challenge Programme” in Jebel Akhdar in the Sultanate of Oman. The exciting experience combined exploration and adventure while fostering initiative, resilience and self-reliance.

Young storytellers showcase Sharjah's vibrant identity

In the media and creative fields, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah provided its participants with valuable opportunities to develop their media and creative skills through the “Sharjah Storytellers” programme.

Participants produced engaging content reflecting authentic Emirati identity and highlighting the distinctive cultural and developmental landscape of the Emirate of Sharjah. They received specialised training in storytelling, creative writing, content creation and media documentation.

Empowering tomorrow's creative leaders

Through ‘Let’s Summer 2026’ , Rubu' Qarn for Creating Leaders and Innovators reaffirmed its pioneering commitment to empowering future generations and equipping young people with essential future-ready skills.
