Al Dhaid Municipality launches "Sharjah Deserves the Best"

Sharjah24: Al Dhaid Municipality (DM) has launched the implementation phase of the "Sharjah Deserves the Best" campaign, an initiative by the Department of Municipal Affairs running until the end of December, aimed at boosting environmental sustainability and raising public awareness.

Cutting single-use products

Hamad Rashed Al Tunaiji, Director of Al Dhaid Municipality, said the municipality's focus during the campaign is on reducing the use of single-use products, introducing eco-friendly alternatives, and promoting simple practices people can adopt in daily life.

Building on community engagement

Speaking to Sharjah24, Al Tunaiji said the implementation phase builds on the municipality's ongoing efforts to involve community members in environmental initiatives and strengthen their role in protecting the environment.

Al Tunaiji thanked the entities that have supported and contributed to the campaign's success, stressing the importance of combined community and institutional effort in achieving its goals and promoting sustainable practices across the emirate.
