The reopened section starts at Industrial Area 17, passes through University Bridge, and continues towards University City.

As part of the traffic arrangements, a partial road closure and diversion will be in place from Industrial Area 17 towards Mleiha Road. Alternative routes will be available to access Sharjah English School, Nesto Hypermarket and nearby services.

The diversion forms part of the Etihad Rail Station Access Roads Project, which aims to develop infrastructure and improve traffic flow in the area.

The traffic diversion will be in place from Wednesday, 26 August 2026, to Monday, 5 October 2026, in line with the approved alternative routes.

The Authority urged motorists and other road users to follow the designated diversions, directional signs and road safety instructions to ensure safety and maintain smooth traffic flow.
