Speaking exclusively to Sharjah24, Al Suwaidi explained that the real-time screens allow passengers to check bus arrival times to the minute, alongside service alerts and updates, helping them plan their journeys and improving the overall transport experience.

He added that the screens are solar-powered, reflecting the authority's efforts to adopt smart and sustainable solutions as part of its public transport development projects.

Al Suwaidi noted that the authority has also strengthened safety on intercity buses by equipping each bus with 10 advanced surveillance cameras powered by artificial intelligence.

The cameras cover multiple angles inside and outside the buses and support intelligent analysis and alerts when unusual situations are detected.

He stressed that these technologies contribute to providing passengers with a safer, more reliable and more efficient public transport experience.
