Newbury’s first hosting of the Cup
This UK leg holds special significance as Newbury, founded in 1905, hosts the Cup for the first time. It joins an elite roster of world-renowned venues alongside ParisLongchamp, Churchill Downs, Doncaster, and San Siro. Following this weekend's opener, the UK leg will continue with a second race scheduled for September 12th at Doncaster Racecourse during the historic St Leger Festival, further solidifying the profile of Arabian racing at Europe's premier tracks.
Competitive field of Arabian contenders
The competitive showcase features a select field of promising contenders representing leading owners and studs. Notable runners include Nehmo de Carrere, owned by Sheikh Khalaf Rabah Alshammari and ridden by Guillaume Guedj-Gay; Amir Athbah for Athbah Racing, partnered with Jean-Bernard Eyquem; Eljas du Bienn, owned by Sheikh Hamed Khadim Butti Al Hamed and piloted by Antoine Werle; Lella de la Gloire, owned by Mohammed Alhuzami with Mickael Forest in the saddle; and RB Tryst for K S Racing, ridden by Sean Levey.
