The association will announce details of the Croatian coach’s contract, on Thursday, during a press conference at its headquarters in Dubai, attended by association officials and media representatives. The conference is expected to cover the contract duration, coaching staff and the national team’s preparation programme for upcoming competitions.

Dalić’s appointment to lead the team comes as part of efforts to build a team capable of competing and meeting the aspirations of UAE football.

Dalić has an impressive record at both domestic and international level. He previously coached Al Ain before taking charge of the Croatian national team in 2017, leading them to notable achievements, including finishing runners-up at the 2018 World Cup and third at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Croatian coach also guided his national team to strong results in European competitions and the UEFA Nations League, drawing on his extensive experience managing national teams and competing in major tournaments.

Dalić faces a number of important challenges with the national team in the coming period, as the Football Association seeks to enhance the team’s readiness, raise their level of competitiveness and achieve results that match UAE ambitions on the continental and international stage.
