Sharjah 24: In line with its rigorous preparations for the upcoming summer initiative, “A Holiday Reimagine 2026,” the Sharjah Old Car Club (SOCC) conducted a dedicated safety and evacuation workshop.

Held in collaboration with the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority and backed by the Sharjah Sports Council, the workshop is a core element of the club’s strategy to elevate the readiness of its staff and volunteers, securing a protected environment that ensures the welfare of every participant during the project.

Fostering a culture of safety and prevention

The workshop was designed to embed preventative safety principles and increase awareness regarding the proper protocols for managing diverse emergencies. This initiative helps cultivate a mindset of preparedness and swift reaction, matching top-tier standards and practices in risk management as well as the execution of secure community initiatives and gatherings.

Practical drills on evacuation protocols

The training offered a comprehensive breakdown of evacuation strategies, the operation of safety gear, and techniques for managing unexpected incidents. It also incorporated live drills that simulated emergency situations, allowing attendees to execute evacuation methods with speed and efficiency to protect all club members throughout the summer activities.

Upgrading the preparedness of personnel and volunteers

The workshop drew representatives from various clubs throughout the emirate, alongside the host club’s own workers and volunteers. The focus centered on unifying organisational workflows, boosting inter-team coordination, and sharping responsiveness to different urgent scenarios, thereby guaranteeing a secure, structured experience for both the youth and their parents.

Element of an all-inclusive summer readiness strategy

This workshop belongs to a broader sequence of preparatory assemblies and briefings arranged by the club prior to kicking off the “A Holiday Reimagined 2026” itinerary. These efforts span administrative, organisational, and hands-on operational dimensions, alongside staff and volunteer instruction, which collectively raises service standards and refines the general experience for participants.

SOCC remains dedicated to finalising its summer programme arrangements, motivated by its pledge to offer a secure educational and leisure space that merges knowledge with fun under strict safety and structural protocols. This seamlessly supports the Sharjah Sports Council’s mission to present premium summer projects that benefit children and youth while fulfilling their expectations.
