Sharjah24: Warrant Officer Mohammed Saif Al Mazrouei, Safety and Prevention Inspector at the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, said the authority is conducting a series of summer inspection campaigns across facilities and buildings to reduce fire risks and enhance safety and prevention standards during the high-temperature season.

Al Mazrouei said the inspections are being carried out by the Compliance with Standards and Regulations Assurance Department as part of efforts to protect lives and property.

He explained that inspection teams are conducting regular visits to a wide range of facilities to ensure compliance with fire safety requirements and to strengthen preventive measures.

The inspections include checks on the operational readiness and efficiency of fire-prevention and fire-protection systems, including control panels, smoke and heat detectors, fire pumps and fire extinguishers.

Teams also verify the safety of emergency exits and evacuation routes, ensuring they remain free of obstacles to enable rapid evacuation and an effective emergency response.

Al Mazrouei said the initiative reflects the authority’s commitment to upholding the highest safety standards and enhancing preparedness across the emirate, particularly during the summer, when temperatures rise significantly.

He wished all members of the community continued safety and well-being.
