Jordan took the lead in the 36th minute through Nizar Al-Rashdan, before Nadhir Ben Bouali equalised for Algeria in the 69th minute. Amine Gouiri then scored the winner in the 82nd minute, securing victory for the North African side.

The result gives Algeria their first three points of the tournament, moving them into third place in the group, behind Argentina, who lead with six points, and Austria, who are in second with three points. Jordan remains without a point after two matches.
