Ahmed Juma Al Musharrakh, Managing Director of Rafid Vehicle Solutions, said that Rafid Roadside Assistance remains focused on delivering reliable, responsive services to meet the needs of a diverse customer base. Since its launch in 2019, the unit has delivered more than 170,000 roadside assistance services, underscoring the effectiveness of its operating model and the confidence customers have in its services.
“Our priority is to continuously strengthen our operational capabilities and enhance the readiness of our field teams to meet growing demand for roadside assistance,” said Al Musharrakh. “Between 2020 and 2026, our fleet doubled, representing a 100 per cent increase. This expansion has significantly improved our ability to respond rapidly, widen service coverage and provide efficient support to motorists around the clock.”
Al Musharrakh said that Rafid Roadside Assistance also provides specialised logistics solutions for a range of private-sector organisations, supporting their operational and technical requirements, improving the efficiency of vehicle transport, and helping to ensure business continuity.
The unit works closely with government entities across the Emirate of Sharjah, providing vehicle recovery and roadside clearance services that help to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and enhance road safety.
He added that Rafid offers cargo insurance during vehicle transport operations, providing customers with added peace of mind and ensuring high standards of protection for transported vehicles, particularly in cases of mechanical breakdowns or emergencies.
Rafid Roadside Assistance serves both individual and corporate customers through a comprehensive portfolio of operational solutions that support mobility and enhance road safety. Available 24 hours a day, its services provide timely assistance across a wide range of roadside and emergency situations.
Its field services include vehicle towing and recovery, roadside clearance of disabled vehicles, emergency fuel delivery, tyre replacement and battery jump-start services. Customers can access these services through the Rafid self-service application, as well as through partnerships and agreements with insurance providers and public- and private-sector organisations.
