Sharjah24: The Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club convened its regular meeting, chaired by His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, with the attendance of board members and the club’s Director General.

Initially, His Excellency welcomed the attendees, commending their efforts in supporting the club’s development and achieving its strategic goals. The meeting included a review of previous minutes, analysed financial and media reports, and considered updates on the club’s activities both locally and internationally.

Preparing for world-class competitions

Discussions included preparations for international events, notably the club’s Formula 1 Powerboat team’s participation in the fourth round of the UIM F1H2O World Championship, scheduled in Jeddah from 27 to 29 November. The team aims to deliver strong results that enhance the club’s presence on the global sporting stage.

Khorfakkan Marine Festival: final preparations underway

The board also reviewed preparations for hosting the upcoming Khorfakkan Marine Festival, organised in partnership with Al Sharqiya from Kalba Channel. The festival will run from 26 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, offering a wide range of sporting, heritage, and entertainment activities designed to appeal to all community groups.

Participation in the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad celebrations

The meeting also discussed the club’s involvement in the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad celebrations, emphasising its dedication to community engagement and bolstering the values of unity and national pride.

A commitment to excellence

His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa emphasised that the meeting highlights the club’s ongoing commitment to development and excellence. He stated: "We discussed key files today, from monitoring our financial and media performance to finalising preparations for our international representation in Jeddah, in addition to the Khorfakkan Marine Festival, which we aim to position as a leading national event.”

He stated that these activities represent the club’s vision of strengthening its sporting and social role, reaffirming its commitment to national events and promoting values of loyalty and belonging. He expressed confidence in the club’s teams to transform plans into achievements worthy of Sharjah and the UAE.
