Sharjah 24: His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), announced the launch of Sharjah’s new tourism identity, aligned with the emirate’s overall identity.

Announcement made at Arabian Travel Market

The announcement was made during a press conference at the Sharjah pavilion at the Arabian Travel Market. The event featured the unveiling of several new projects introduced by 26 public and private sector entities participating under the Sharjah banner.

Development projects reflect Emirate’s vision

Al Midfa emphasised that Sharjah is undergoing extensive development guided by the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. This includes advancements in infrastructure, facilities, and services across various cities in the emirate.

11% increase in hotel guests in Q1 2025

He revealed that the number of hotel guests in Sharjah rose by 11% in the first quarter of 2025, reaching approximately 486,000 guests. He expressed optimism about increasing these numbers further through ongoing promotion at local and international platforms.

Continued promotion to boost tourism and economy

Al Midfa concluded by highlighting the strategic importance of tourism in supporting the economy and society, reaffirming the authority’s commitment to enhancing Sharjah’s global presence.
