The initiative aims to empower women with knowledge about prevention and early detection, encouraging them to adopt healthy lifestyle habits and undergo regular screenings to reduce the risk of breast cancer.
As part of the campaign, an educational lecture was delivered by Dr Khadija Al Zarouni, Consultant in Family Medicine at University Hospital Sharjah.
The session focused on preventive strategies, early detection techniques, and self-examination practices, while addressing common misconceptions surrounding the disease.
Al Yafie reaffirmed the Authority’s continued commitment to public health education and to fostering a culture of prevention, in alignment with Sharjah’s vision of a safe and healthy community.
She noted that the initiative reflects SHA’s dedication as an active partner in local and international health programmes that aim to enhance community well-being.
