Sharjah 24: Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) announced that two UAE national customers have each won AED 1 million during the electronic draw held on Saturday evening at the Events Plaza of Al Rahmaniya Commercial Centre in Sharjah.

The draw was attended by a representative from the Sharjah Economic Development Department and several bank officials and employees, amid a festive atmosphere that reflected the bank's commitment to transparency and enhancing customer confidence.
 
The "Millionaire" campaign, launched by the bank last July, is the largest promotional campaign of its kind in its history. It includes a distinguished package of grand prizes totaling more than AED 20 million, distributed over an entire year. This is part of the bank's strategy to stimulate a culture of savings, encourage customers to increase their savings, and establish the concept of smart saving, which enables individuals to achieve their financial goals in a sustainable and responsible manner.
 
Winners announced
 
The October draws of the "Millionaire" campaign resulted in teacher Aisha Mohammed winning the AED 1 million prize, designated for UAE nationals, while Abdulrahman Al Balushi won the AED 1 million prize, designated for all customers. The ceremony also featured a draw for 40 cash prizes, ranging in value up to AED 5,000.
 
The draw was conducted electronically at Al Rahmaniya Mall, in the presence of representatives from the Sharjah Economic Development Department and a number of bank officials and employees. The festive atmosphere reflected the bank's commitment to transparency and enhancing customer confidence.
 
The first million-dollar draw featured two inspiring stories that reflected the humanitarian dimension of the "Millionaire" campaign. Teacher Aisha Mohammed's joy was doubled, as the announcement of her win coincided with her school's Teacher's Day celebration. She expressed her gratitude and happiness that the award came on a day that represents a symbol of giving for her and her colleagues, transforming the occasion into a moment of personal and professional celebration.
 
The second winner, Abdulrahman Al Balushi (UAE national), who won the AED 1 million prize allocated to all customers, had a story full of loyalty. He revealed that his account with the bank was the first he opened before starting his career, based on the advice of his father, who was also one of the bank's first customers. He noted that this win represents an extension of two generations of mutual trust between his family and Sharjah Islamic Bank.

On this occasion, Mr. Nabil Abu Alwan, Head of Retail Banking at Sharjah Islamic Bank, emphasised that the "Millionaire" campaign embodies the bank's vision of spreading the culture of savings and enhancing financial awareness among customers, in addition to offering generous rewards that support their future ambitions.
 
He explained that the campaign represents a practical translation of the bank's strategy to empower individuals to manage their money intelligently and responsibly, and encourage them to adopt sustainable savings habits that contribute to achieving financial security for families and society. He noted that the "Millionaire" promotional campaign is the largest in the bank's history in terms of the value and variety of prizes, as well as the number of winners.
 
He added, "The bank will continue its momentum in the coming period with the November draw, which will feature a new BMW XM car. This is part of an integrated plan aimed at enhancing customer engagement with the campaign across the UAE."
 
He explained that the campaign offers eight grand cash prizes worth AED 1 million each, awarded quarterly. These prizes include four prizes dedicated to UAE nationals, in addition to four grand seasonal prizes worth AED 2 million each, to celebrate national and religious occasions.
 
He added that the campaign includes eight luxury BMW XM cars, which will be periodically raffled off, in addition to monthly cash prizes ranging from AED 500 to AED 5,000 awarded to more than 40 winners, doubling the winning chances for all participants.
 
He concluded by saying that the monthly draws represent renewed opportunities to increase the number of winners, as part of the bank's commitment to providing a pioneering banking experience consistent with the values of Islamic Sharia and the concept of financial inclusion, which positively impacts individuals and the national economy.
 
Public engagement and celebration of customers
 
The event also hosted the winners of the first and second draws of the campaign, who shared their experiences winning the luxury BMW XM and how they used the prizes to achieve their financial and personal goals.
