The meeting was attended by the club’s Executive Director, Taha Ezzat, along with staff members and match organisers.

Towards a more interactive sports season

This meeting is part of a series of strategic steps adopted by the club to enhance its relationship with fans, promote sports as a tool for community engagement, and highlight the city’s athletic and cultural identity. The club aims for a season marked by stronger fan participation, positively impacting the team’s performance and reinforcing its distinguished status in UAE football.

Discussing a new fan attendance strategy

The meeting outlined a clear roadmap to increase turnout at matches by assessing the current situation and identifying challenges that hinder full stadiums. Discussions emphasized that fan presence is not merely symbolic but a crucial factor in sporting and moral success, energizing players on the field and creating a more competitive match atmosphere.

Innovative marketing and media initiatives

Attendees presented a set of marketing and media initiatives to attract fans of all ages and encourage regular attendance at Dibba Stadium. Proposals included launching campaigns on social media, activating innovative media channels to showcase the club’s identity and achievements, and organizing entertainment and sporting events before matches to enrich the fan experience.

Importance of community partnerships

The meeting also highlighted the role of community partnerships with schools, universities, and local institutions in expanding the fan base. This includes inviting students and families to matches and offering incentives to encourage their participation. Engaging all segments of society was seen as a way to transform matches into integrated social and sporting events that bring families and youth together under the spirit of support.

Executive Director’s remarks

Concluding the meeting, Executive Director Taha Ezzat stressed the club’s commitment to making Dibba Stadium a lively destination for fans. He affirmed that the new initiatives will enhance excitement and interaction with the team’s matches. He added: “The fans are the 12th player.
