Rennais achieves second consecutive win in the French League

Sharjah 24 – AFP: Rennais continued their winning momentum in the French League with a 1-0 victory over Paris FC in the opening match of the twelfth round, marking their second consecutive triumph.

Embolo scores late winner

The decisive goal came in the 81st minute when substitute Breel Embolo converted a pass from captain Valentin Rongier, who had replaced Mohamed Kader Meïté. The late strike secured the win just as the match seemed destined for a draw.

Climbing the League table

Following their 4-1 home victory over Strasbourg in the previous round, Rennais’ latest win temporarily lifted them to eighth place in the standings with 18 points.

Strong defensive performance

Goalkeeper Brice Samba played a crucial role in maintaining Rennais’ clean sheet, thwarting multiple attempts from Paris FC, who had scored 18 goals in 11 matches before this game.
