Sharjah 24: The UAE U-17 national football team secured a place in the final of the Gulf Cup currently underway in Qatar after defeating Iraq 1-0 in a tightly contested semi-final match. The game took place at Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha.

Upcoming final against Saudi Arabia

With this victory, the UAE team will now face Saudi Arabia in the tournament final on Friday. The Saudi U-17 team advanced after a 2-1 win over hosts Qatar in the other semi-final match.
