Leda Katunda showcases four decades of work at SAF

Sharjah24: Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) is currently hosting a landmark exhibition featuring the works of Brazilian artist Leda Katunda, offering visitors a rare opportunity to explore more than 40 years of her artistic practice. The exhibition brings together pieces from Katunda’s earliest creations to her most recent works, displayed across two expansive galleries.

Speaking about the experience, Katunda described the exhibition as “a very special opportunity” to present her entire body of work in what she called an “intense dialogue” between past and present creations.

Marking her first visit to the Middle East and the UAE, the artist expressed gratitude for the warm reception and deep interest in art she encountered in Sharjah.

She highlighted the significance of exhibiting at the Sharjah Art Foundation, home to the globally renowned Sharjah Biennial, calling the opportunity “unique” and memorable.

The exhibition is open to the public and invites art enthusiasts to engage with a lifetime of creative expression.
