The initiative is part of SCCI’s broader strategy to support SMEs, foster entrepreneurial innovation, and help local designers grow sustainable businesses. It also aims to enhance the global competitiveness of national brands in both regional and international markets.
Since its launch, the platform has attracted nearly 400 Emirati designers from across the UAE, highlighting a surge in creative talent and interest in the jewellery sector. Participants annually showcase unique gold and diamond collections inspired by heritage, known for their originality, vibrant colours, and traditional craftsmanship.
SCCI has been actively working to strengthen the international presence of the Emirati Goldsmiths platform. Through participation in global trade shows such as MIDA in Italy and the Japan Jewellery Fair, Emirati designers have had the chance to present their work to global audiences and connect with industry leaders, expanding their market reach and refining their craft.
These global showcases have helped highlight the artistic identity of Emirati jewellery, blending traditional Emirati and Arab aesthetics with contemporary design sensibilities. The result is a strong cultural and commercial appeal that is resonating on the world stage.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, emphasized the Chamber’s dedication to empowering national talents and advancing the creative industries. He stated that the Emirati Goldsmiths platform acts as both an incubator and a catalyst for SME growth, aligning with Sharjah’s vision of building an innovation-led, knowledge-driven economy.
Al Owais also highlighted other successful initiatives such as "Emiratis for Oud and Perfumes", aimed at nurturing local talent in other creative economic fields. He reiterated the Chamber’s role in stimulating innovation, enhancing global market access, and promoting Emirati brands in the international creative economy.
Mona Sultan Al Suwaidi, Director of the Executive Office of SCCI’s Chairman and head of the Emirati Goldsmiths platform, noted that the initiative offers comprehensive support including training, expert consultancy, workshops, and participation in international fairs. This holistic approach equips designers with the tools to turn their passion into profitable businesses.
Many participating designers have successfully launched brands that combine traditional Emirati identity with modern business models, showcasing both cultural authenticity and commercial success. Their work consistently stands out at the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show for its craftsmanship and innovation.
Among the standout creations showcased in past editions were pieces like the “Zayed Lantern,” “Palm Necklace,” “Desert Flower,” and “Emirati Dama’a,” all featuring traditional Talli motifs and meticulously crafted in gold and precious stones. These pieces reflect the UAE’s rich cultural legacy and natural beauty.

Its 56th edition will host over 500 exhibitors from 21 countries, alongside 1,800 designers and professionals from the global watch and jewellery industry — offering an unmatched platform for showcasing Emirati talent to the world.
