CFD showcases digital initiatives at Partnerships Forum

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Finance Department (CFD) presented its latest financial and digital transformation projects at the Opportunities & Partnerships Forum hosted by the Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurial Projects "Ruwad". The spotlight was on CFD’s "Ruwad" system, designed to provide an integrated environment for monitoring activities of Emirati SMEs and entrepreneurs.

Representatives from CFD included Huda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department; Mira Al Suwaidi, Head of Smart Systems and Applications; and Ahmed Al Kindi, Head of the Suppliers Section in the Procurement Department. Khawla Boushleibi, Director of Government Communication, and Noura Boudkhan, Head of Media, attended alongside other CFD staff.

Digital transformation and efficiency

Ahmed Al Kindi highlighted how the "Ruwad" system streamlines government procurement by connecting agencies via the governmental banking system, Takamul. The platform allows vendors to electronically submit and track requests, including registrations, tenders, and purchase orders, improving transparency, efficiency, and access to government projects.

Impact on the local economy

The "Ruwad" system has driven economic growth by empowering local talent and enhancing the competitiveness of Sharjah’s business environment. Key results include a 95% compliance rate, a 50% reduction in administrative processing time, and significant financial savings. These improvements have lowered operational costs and boosted market activity for participating projects.

Public-private collaboration

CFD’s initiatives received strong support from businesses and institutions at the forum, who praised the "Ruwad" system as a model of public-private partnership and an example of Sharjah’s leadership in digital transformation and economic development.
