Sharjah 24 – Reuters: At least 31 Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured on Sunday as Israeli forces continued bombing residential areas in Gaza City, according to Gaza health authorities. The strikes forced more residents to flee as Israeli tanks pushed further into the city’s densely populated neighbourhoods.

Pregnant woman and two children among the dead

Medics confirmed that a pregnant woman and her two children were among those killed. Families were seen searching through the rubble of destroyed buildings in hopes of recovering belongings or finding loved ones.

Mass displacement from Gaza City

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli tanks advanced westward into the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City. According to Israeli military estimates, more than 450,000 people have fled the city since early September.

Rising death toll and widespread destruction

Gaza’s health authorities say the ongoing two-year military campaign has killed more than 65,000 Palestinians—most of them civilians. The war has devastated the territory, leaving much of its infrastructure in ruins, causing famine, and displacing the majority of its population, many of whom have been forced to relocate multiple times.
