Sharjah 24: Ines de Escallon, Co-chair of the Family Support Network for Employment (FSNE) in Canada, participated in a session titled “Inclusive Employment Programs: Examples” at the World Congress 2025, called “We Are Inclusion.” This event was organized by Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and took place at the Expo Centre Sharjah. The discussion focused on different ways to create job opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.

During the session, Ines talked about a family-led initiative, where families joined forces to help their loved ones with intellectual disabilities find jobs in the open job market.

Ines also shared her thoughts with "Sharjah 24," emphasizing the importance of networking in inclusive education, which can assist families in their quest for employment for their relatives. She highlighted that teaching children habits like doing paid chores and saving money can help them learn responsibility and accountability.
