Sharjah's endowed support for Orphans: Prophet's Neighbours

he "Prophet's Neighbors" endowment project represents a qualitative leap in the Foundation's journey towards achieving financial self-sufficiency. It is based on establishing a series of endowment real estate facilities, all of whose revenues are directed to financing all programmes and projects provided to orphans and their families, and meeting their needs for educational support, health care, and psychological and social care.

It also provides vocational training for its children, in addition to environmental support and urgent response to families' needs. This building represents the beginning of a series of endowment projects that the Foundation seeks to complete to enhance the sustainability of its resources.

Mona Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, said that the generosity of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi to cover the entire cost of constructing the first building of the “Prophet’s Neighbours” project reflects his wise vision and deep belief in the importance of endowments in ensuring the continuity of the humanitarian work that the Foundation uses to support and empower children and their families who have lost parental care. This generous donation is the foundation for the project's strong launch toward achieving a broad and sustainable impact and a humanitarian message that inspires us all to continue giving and expand its impact.

Al Suwaidi continued by saying that the building has a modern, integrated design that meets the needs of the real estate market, ensuring the achievement of fixed financial returns that are allocated entirely to serve the Foundation’s members, in a model to be emulated for sustainable humanitarian work.

Al Suwaidi confirmed that the “Prophet’s Neighbours” projectIt will continue to expand in the coming years through the construction of more endowment buildings, thus consolidating the values of community solidarity and empowerment, and strengthening the Emirate of Sharjah's position as an incubator for pioneering humanitarian initiatives.
