Sharjah 24: Salah Khamis Al Hosani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Teachers' Association, announced the launch of the Emirati Women's Forum, organised in collaboration with the Coordination Association of Professional Associations operating in the UAE. The event coincides with Emirati Women’s Day, observed annually on August 28, and was held at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah. The forum aims to highlight the pioneering role of Emirati women across multiple sectors.

Forum focuses on women’s achievements and societal role

Al Hosani emphasised that the forum aims to showcase women’s accomplishments and their growing role in the educational, professional, and social spheres. He noted that this progress has been achieved thanks to the supportive vision of the UAE leadership, which has consistently worked to empower women and elevate their position in society.

Emirati Women’s Day reflects leadership's vision

In remarks to Sharjah 24, Al Hosani stated that dedicating August 28 to celebrate Emirati women illustrates the commitment of the UAE’s leadership to recognise and honor the efforts of women nationwide. This official recognition reflects a deep-rooted policy to empower women and spotlight their achievements.

Comprehensive portrayal of women's role in development

Al Hosani also noted that the Teachers’ Association, in collaboration with the Professional Associations Coordination Council, ensured the forum provides a well-rounded view of women’s active participation in the national development process. He highlighted women’s vital contributions in education—as key partners—as well as in fields like the economy, diplomacy, and more, where they continue to demonstrate excellence and capability.
