Sharjah 24 – WAM: The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security has issued a warning to citizens, residents, and visitors about deceptive online advertisements that promise expedited services for UAE residency, work, or entry procedures.

Use only official and approved channels

The Authority urged all customers to rely exclusively on authorised platforms for service applications, including the official website, smart application, and licensed service centres and typing offices across the UAE.

No privileges for advertised fast-track offers

It clarified that no special privileges or facilitations have been granted to any office or company promoting fast-track services on social media. Such claims are intended to mislead customers and collect money without legal grounds.

Rise in illegal online practices

The Authority warned of the increasing number of social media accounts and websites falsely advertising government services. These entities promise to bypass official regulations in exchange for high fees, posing a threat to service transparency and public trust.

Harm to reputation and security

These fraudulent practices not only exploit customers but also harm the Authority’s reputation, compromise security, and contribute to the emergence of a black market that disrupts fairness and legal order.

Legal action underway

The Authority confirmed that such suspicious activities are under continuous monitoring and that necessary legal measures are being taken in coordination with relevant national authorities.
