Sharjah 24 – WAM: The United Arab Emirates has expanded its visa-on-arrival programme for Indian nationals to include those with valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards from six new countries.

New eligible countries

Starting February 13, 2025, Indian citizens holding ordinary passports and valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards from the following countries—Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada—will be granted visas upon arrival at all UAE entry points. These countries join the previously eligible nations, including the United States, European Union, and the United Kingdom.

Strengthening UAE-India relations

This initiative, highlighted by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security, reflects the growing relationship between the UAE and India.

Goals of the initiative

The expanded programme aims to boost tourism, attract skilled workers, talented professionals, and entrepreneurs, further solidifying the UAE's position as a global hub.

Requirements for entry

A six-month passport validity and payment of the prescribed fees are required in accordance with applicable regulations.
