Sharjah24: His Excellency Khalifa Mohammed Bou Ghanem, Wali (Governor) of Abu Musa Island, honoured two high school graduates from the 2024–2025 academic year — Mai Mamdouh Mohamed Farag and Muzna Sultan Khalifa Al-Asli Al-Suwaidi — from Abu Musa Joint School, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Education. The celebration was held at his residence and attended by the students' families and the school’s principal, Mr. Mohamed Abdel-Moati.

Annual tradition of recognition

The annual honouring reflects a deep-rooted educational tradition and a national commitment to support education and celebrate excellence. It stems from the belief that human development is the most valuable investment and that the nation's progress begins in classrooms with the efforts of outstanding students who will shape the future.

Bou Ghanem praised the graduates’ achievements as the result of dedicated work by the school’s academic and administrative teams. He encouraged the graduates to pursue their university studies with passion, aligning with the UAE’s aspirations to build a knowledge economy.

Education as a national priority

He added that the celebration reflects the UAE's vision of valuing education, honouring dedication, and fostering a culture of excellence. He reminded the students that their country expects much from them and will take pride in their future accomplishments in science and innovation.

The school principal expressed his pride in the recognition, praising the support of UAE leadership, the Ministry of Education, and the Wali of Abu Musa. He commended the dedication of the teachers, describing this graduating class as a new milestone in the school’s journey of excellence.

A heartfelt conclusion

The students and their families expressed their deep gratitude to Bou Ghanem for the thoughtful gesture, which reaffirmed that hard work is never overlooked in a country that values its youth. The celebration concluded in an atmosphere of pride and joy, with heartfelt wishes for a bright future for Abu Musa’s graduates as ambassadors of excellence.
