Camel tagging involves placing a small chip inside a camel that holds a unique number and other specific details about the camel. This helps track and identify each camel electronically, making it easier to confirm their identities during races.
During the program, over 450 camels were tagged, and the process took around two hours. This tagging not only streamlined the transportation of the camels but also saved time for their owners. Many camel owners expressed their gratitude to the Sharjah and Dubai Camel Racing Clubs for their efforts, highlighting the teamwork that made this important task possible. Everyone is excited and hopeful for a successful racing season ahead.
Abdullah Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi praised the excellent collaboration provided by the Dubai Camel Racing Club to benefit camel owners throughout the country.
This year’s racing season for young camels includes many exciting festivals and competitions, the most notable being the Al Rawdah Festival in the Al Ain region, which is held with the generous support of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in Al Ain Region.
