Speaking during a press conference organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Expo Centre Al Dhaid, Al Tunaiji noted to “Sharjah 24” the continuous growth and development of the festival in both scope and participation.
Al Tunaiji announced the launch of a new award titled "Bisharat Al Qayd" which has attracted wide participation from palm tree owners and farmers from Sharjah and across the UAE. This award adds value to the festival by encouraging excellence and innovation in palm cultivation.
In a move to connect future generations with the agricultural heritage of the UAE, the festival has introduced dedicated competitions for women and children. These aim to promote awareness about the cultural and economic significance of palm trees and foster a deeper appreciation for agriculture among youth.
