Sharjah24: Palmeiras of Brazil and Porto of Portugal settled for a goalless draw at MetLife Stadium in Group A of the FIFA Club World Cup.
This was the second draw of the tournament, which kicked off on Saturday, following the earlier Group A stalemate between Inter Miami (USA) and Al Ahly (Egypt).
Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira, from Portugal, extended his winless run against Porto to seven matches, having previously managed Sporting and Braga.
For Porto, their streak of three consecutive wins came to an end, but they may be satisfied with the draw given the match’s flow, as Palmeiras created more chances and had five shots on target to Porto’s three.
Palmeiras will next face Al Ahly, while Porto meet Inter Miami.
