Sharjah 24 – WAM: In the past 48 hours, Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of 95 Palestinians and injuries to 304 others in the Gaza Strip. The majority of the victims were women and children. The death toll in Gaza has now reached 54,772 since the onset of Israeli aggression in October 2023, with over 125,834 individuals injured. Many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to rescue teams.

Ongoing humanitarian crisis

The continuous bombardment has exacerbated the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and essential medical supplies are running low. The international community has called for immediate ceasefire and increased humanitarian aid access to alleviate the suffering of civilians.

International response

Global organisations and governments have condemned the escalating violence and urged both parties to adhere to international humanitarian laws. Efforts are underway to negotiate a ceasefire and facilitate the delivery of aid to those in need.

The situation remains dire, with the civilian population bearing the brunt of the conflict. The international community continues to monitor developments closely, advocating for peace and the protection of innocent lives.
