The program aims to introduce children to sport climbing, a modern sport included in the Olympic Games, while making productive use of their time through engaging physical activities that align with their interests and improve their fitness levels.
Participants will take part in intensive workshops and training sessions at various skill levels, where they will learn fundamental climbing techniques, focus exercises, warm-up routines, and balancing methods. The program will also enhance their physical and mental flexibility, promote teamwork and safety, and include competitions designed to develop leadership, cognitive skills, and climbing proficiencies in speed, lead, and bouldering.
Khawla Al Hawai, Director of “Sharjah Children,” remarked: “We see the sport climbing program as a new form of interactive learning based on sensory experiences and structured adventure. It serves as a strategic tool for developing future skills in children.” She also emphasised that sports provide a platform for enhancing critical thinking and building emotional and mental resilience, aligning with their long-term vision of fostering a conscious, creative generation ready to tackle future challenges.
The sport climbing program presents an excellent chance to discover new talents and raise awareness about the importance of physical activity in children's lives, contributing to the development of a healthy and active generation. It also reflects "Sharjah Children’s" commitment to creating safe and enjoyable learning environments that encourage positive competition and provide an unforgettable climbing experience, allowing children to dream big and reach new heights.
