Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) organised an introductory tour of the "Prophet’s Neighbours Endowment" project at the Sharjah Public Works Department.

The interactive pavilion set up by the foundation witnessed a distinguished turnout and participation as department employees learnt about the details of the endowment project, its noble goals of supporting and empowering orphans, and the importance of contributing to this humanitarian project, which has received the attention of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, a Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

During the visit, the Foundation's team provided a detailed explanation of the project's concept, its noble goals, and its humanitarian vision, which is based on the principle of sponsoring orphans, empowering them, and securing their future through a sustainable endowment, the proceeds of which go to the Foundation's members.
The department explained the various ways its employees can contribute to this endowment, whether through direct bank transfers, monthly deductions, or purchasing endowment certificates in different amounts that suit various categories.

In addition, it is possible to easily donate electronically via the "Neighbours of the Prophet" platform, which was developed specifically for this purpose.

Maryam Al Khalifa, Director of the Relations and Sponsorship Affairs Department at the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, stated, “We are proud of the partnership with the Sharjah Public Works Department, and we appreciate their generous engagement with the "Prophet’s Neighbours Endowment" endowment project, which represents one of the most important pioneering projects seeking to secure sustainable sources of income to empower orphans and harness their potential."
She added, “ The positive response from government agencies reflects the depth of social awareness of the importance of this project and motivates us to continue our joint efforts to consolidate the culture of endowment in society and promote the values of solidarity rooted in Sharjah’s vision."

Maryam Al Mazmi, Director of the Corporate Communications Centre at the Department, said that the Public Works Department was honoured to host a delegation from the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation as part of their introductory tour of the “Prophet’s Neighbours Endowment”, a humanitarian endowment project, which is a valuable model for sustainable charitable work. It embodies the values of solidarity and giving that are inherent in our society. We were delighted to learn about this noble project, which aims to sponsor and empower orphans through an endowment whose proceeds will always benefit them, ensuring the stability and support they need to build their future. She stressed that supporting humanitarian initiatives is a fundamental pillar of the department's strategic directions.
