SDC hosts a discussion on “Zomorrodah” Book

Sharjah24: The Arab Cultural Club in Sharjah organised a cultural evening the day before yesterday, focusing on the children's book " Zomorrodah ", published by the Sharjah Department of Culture (SDC) as part of its children’s book series. The story is written by author Yara Abdel Hadi and illustrated by artist Fawaz Salama.

The discussion featured Dr. Omar Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Club’s Board and Director of the Publishing Department at the Culture Department, alongside artist Dr. Najat Makki and the story’s author. The event was also attended by Ali Al Mughni, Vice Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors.

The dialogue centered on the effectiveness of children's stories when both the writer and illustrator succeed in delivering a cohesive narrative. The panel emphasised the importance of language that suits the targeted age group while presenting a story rich in symbolism and valuable educational messages.
